CABIN JOHN, MD – Police were called today after a large tire crashed into a car and injured its two occupants, Fox 5 DC reports.
A car was heading down I-495 when it was hit head-on by a detached truck tire. The tire went through the windshield, injuring two passengers.
Authorities were dispatched to the area near the exit towards River Road. The passengers were treated for their injuries and are reportedly in stable condition.
It’s unclear what caused the tire to detach and strike the car. Local police are currently investigating.
