FAIRFAX CO., VA – A pedestrian who suffered critical injuries in a hit-and-run accident in Fairfax County two weeks ago has died.

According to NBC 4, the hit-and-run took place on Little River Turnpike near Oasis Drive around 10:00 PM on May 22nd.

18-year-old Daniela Bonilla Betancourt was crossing Little River Turnpike when a 2007 Honda CRV struck her. The driver of the Honda CRV immediately fled the scene and did not call for help.

Betancourt succumbed to her injuries last weekend.

21-year-old Abraham Lincoln Samuel turned himself in to the police and has been charged with felony hit-and-run.
