ELLICOTT CITY, MD – A pedestrian was killed in an apparent overnight hit-and-run crash in Ellicott City Monday morning.
According to the Daily Voice, the fatal collision took place on Route 99 near Weatherstone Drive sometime in the early hours of June 6th.
Authorities discovered the pedestrian’s body in a wooded area next to Route 99 around 8:00 AM on Monday. Authorities believe that the pedestrian was struck by a driver who then fled the scene.
The victim has been identified as 54-year-old Michael Kevin Fitzpatrick.
Police continue to investigate the fatal hit-and-run. They request that anyone with information about the accident to please contact the Howard County Police Department.
