WASHINGTON, DC – A man died last weekend from his injuries in a pedestrian crash, according to Prince William Times.
The man was walking down U.S. 1 on February 24th when he was hit by a 2016 Chrysler van. Prince William County police report that the pedestrian had walked onto the travel lane at the time of the accident. No charges were filed for the driver.
Emergency responders transported the pedestrian to a hospital for serious injuries. He was pronounced dead on March 11th. Police identified the man as a 65-year-old from Washington, D.C.
Investigators determined that excessive speeds and alcohol use were not contributing factors in the wreck.
