GAITHERSBURG, MD – At least two people suffered injuries after a vehicle collided with a police cruiser Monday night.
According to WUSA, the collision occurred at the intersection of North Frederick Avenue and Chestnut Street around 10:00 PM on July 11th.
The other vehicle involved was traveling in the wrong direction when it struck the police cruiser head-on. At this time, it is unclear why the driver was traveling in the wrong direction.
Both drivers were treated at the scene. It is unclear if further hospitalization was required.
Montgomery County Police continue to investigate the accident.
