ARLINGTON, VA – A highway was partially closed yesterday after an accident that resulted in several injuries, according to ARL Now.
A car had been driving northbound on George-Washington Memorial Parkway when it swerved off of the road and flipped.
Emergency personnel responded to the crash at about 11:45 a.m. Tuesday. Three people were injured in the accident, including one child who is in unstable condition.
The road was closed down in the northbound lanes near the Francis Scott Key Memorial Bridge. Officials were able to clear the area several hours later at 1:45 p.m. The flow of traffic was significantly congested across one mile of GW Parkway.
