PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA – The driver of a stolen vehicle crashed into a police vehicle, injuring five troopers yesterday, ABC 7 News reports.
A stolen 2012 Ford Fiesta escaped a traffic stop and started a high-speed police chase on I-95. Officers tried to stop the vehicle by surrounding it near Exit 158.
The Ford crashed into a police vehicle two times, causing a chain collision involving three other police cars. The crash took place at about 5 a.m. Wednesday.
Five troopers were hospitalized for treatment of their injuries and have since been released from medical care.
Two occupants of the stolen car were detained several hours later. The Ford was discovered in a parking lot on Prince William Parkway.
