HENRY COUNTY, VA – A motorcyclist was hurt and his passenger was fatally injured after the vehicle crashed on the side of a road, Richmond Times-Dispatch reports.
Two people were riding on a motorcycle down Commonwealth Boulevard when the wreck happened. Their vehicle swerved to the right side of the road and struck a utility pole cable. Both passengers were ejected near the road’s intersection with Memorial Boulevard.
Medical personnel responded to the wreck shortly after 7:10 p.m. The man operating the motorcycle was transported to a medical center via airlift. His passenger was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash. She was a 42-year-old woman from Richmond.
The Virginia State Police Department is currently looking into the cause of the crash.
