WHEATON, MD – One woman was killed on Saturday after a car crashed during a police pursuit, My MC Media reports.
A man driving a 2011 Honda Civic was pulled over by local police at about 1:30 a.m. He attempted to flee from authorities but his vehicle crashed into a nearby tree and pole. The wreck took place near the intersection of Route 355 and Nicholson Lane.
A female passenger in the Honda was pronounced deceased by emergency responders at the scene. The driver was hospitalized for minor injuries after the crash.
The investigation is being handled by the Attorney General’s Independent Investigations Division.
