CHESTERFIELD, VA – One passenger was pronounced dead after the vehicle they were riding in crashed on the side of a road, ABC 8 News reports.
A vehicle was heading east on Beulah Road when it veered from the road and struck a tree on the right side.
Chesterfield Police reported the wreck at about 8:50 a.m. A passenger of the car passed away after they were hospitalized for serious injuries. Their identity has not yet been released. It’s unknown if the driver sustained any injuries.
Officials closed down Beulah Road between its intersections with Hopkins Road and Cinderwood Drive for a few hours. It’s unclear whether the area has since been reopened.
Details about what exactly led to the accident are unknown at this time as Chesterfield Police investigate.
