ROCKVILLE, MD – A van carrying special-needs passengers drove off of the road and crashed earlier today, according to ABC 7 News.
A bus for Renoxx Caregivers was traveling north on I-270 when it swerved from the roadway and crashed into a nearby ridge. Emergency responders arrived at the scene between Route 28 and Shady Grove Road this afternoon.
The bus was carrying around twelve passengers with special needs. The Montgomery Fire and Rescue Service took six patients to local medical centers for treatment.
Details about the circumstances of the wreck are unclear at this time. We will follow this story as it develops.
