LAUREL, MD – Six people, including five teenagers, suffered serious injuries after a single-vehicle crash Thursday night.
According to NBC 4, the severe crash occurred at the intersection of Laurel Bowie Road and Cherry Lane around 11:00 PM on July 21st.
A white SUV reportedly crashed head-on into a utility pole, nearly splitting the vehicle in half. Two people were ejected from the vehicle as a result of the crash. Another two occupants were left trapped in the crashed vehicle.
In total, one woman and five teenagers suffered serious injuries. The woman and a teenage girl suffered the most serious injuries and were airlifted to Shock Trauma in Baltimore.
Prince George’s County Police report that speed was a contributing factor in the crash.
