POWHATAN COUNTY, VA – EMS pronounced one person dead and transported others for treatment after a highway crash on Monday, ABC 8 News reports.
Several cars were traveling along Route 228 when they collided for unknown reasons. It’s unclear what led to the crash.
The Virginia State Police reports that one passenger was killed and two were transported to medical centers for treatment. The other passengers are apparently in stable condition.
All lanes of traffic were shut down for several hours. They have since been reopened.
