MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD – A tractor-trailer crash on the I-495 West outer loop left traffic delays continuing for a couple of hours Tuesday.
The collision occurred before 3:30 p.m. at MD-650, MATOC Alerts revealed.
UPDATE: Tractor Trailer Crash. I-495 WB (Outer Loop) at MD-650 (Exit 28/New Hampshire Avenue). Montgomery County, MD. 3 right lanes remain blocked, traffic gets by in 2 left lanes. Outer Loop delays are approximately 2 miles, delays extending to I-95 SB begin past MD-200.

Three right lanes were blocked, and drivers were allotted two lanes. However, all lanes have reopened. Still, drivers can expect traffic delays to extend to the southbound lanes of I-95, past MD-200.
It is unclear how long the delays will last. In addition, officials did not reveal the contributing factors of Tuesday’s crash, how many vehicles were involved, and if anyone was injured.
