Several people had called to report a vehicle driving recklessly on I-270 shortly before the crash. The troopers’ vehicles were parked on the shoulder of I-270 with their emergency lights on when the reported vehicle crashed into both.

Both troopers were taken to Suburban Hospital with injuries but have since been released. Their identities are unknown at this time.
