WASHINGTON, DC – Authorities are looking into a vehicle accident related to a robbery this afternoon, ARL Now reports.
The vehicle was traveling on George Washington Parkway when it flipped on its roof. Emergency responders arrived shortly after 3:15 p.m. Monday.
Two passengers of the vehicle were believed to be involved in a robbery and fled the scene to evade authorities. They have since been detained and are injured from the crash.
It’s unclear what exactly led to the accident. We will follow this story for more details as authorities investigate.
