ALEXANDRIA, VA – Two people died after they exited their car on I-495 and were struck by another vehicle last Thursday.
According to WTOP, the fatal collision took place on I-495 westbound near Telegraph Road around 11:00 PM on May 13th.
A Toyota Corolla reportedly stopped in a center lane of I-495 and both the driver and passenger exited the vehicle. A westbound Ford truck subsequently crashed into the Toyota Corolla and both people. A Mazda Miata then struck one of the Toyota’s occupants again.
The driver and passenger of the Toyota unfortunately died at the scene. They have been identified as 54-year-old Abdellah Bougrine and 59-year-old Driss Bougrine.
Authorities continue to investigate the fatal accident.
