HOWARD COUNTY, MD – A suspect caused a collision that injured three people while attempting to flee from police, NBC Washington reports.
A man suspected of breaking into several vehicles tried to escape after he was spotted by police yesterday.
The suspect crashed into an officer’s unit, then struck a 2020 Honda HR-V after running a red light.
The wreck happened at the intersection of Dobbin Road and Snowden River Parkway, sometime after 5:50 p.m.
Three occupants of the Honda were treated at a hospital for severe injuries. The suspect had sustained serious injuries and was also hospitalized.
Authorities closed down Snowden River Parkway in the northbound lanes for several hours.
Additional information about the suspect has yet to be released as the Howard County Police Department investigates.
