News: Vehicle strikes, injures pedestrian in Wheaton

WHEATON, MD – Authorities responded to an accident that severely injured a pedestrian yesterday, Bethesda Magazine reports.

Emergency responders were called to the crash site at Newport Mill Road and Veirs Mill Road.

The victim sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital. The identity of the driver has yet to be released.

The Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Department reported the accident at about 8:40 p.m. Sunday.

It’s unclear what caused the crash to take place. We will continue to monitor this story as the authorities investigate.
