FAIRFAX CO., VA – A pedestrian died after they were struck by a car as a result of a three-vehicle accident last Monday.
According to FFX Now, the fatal collision occurred at the intersection of Franconia Road West and Commerce Street around 1:00 PM on March 28th.
A 2020 Hyundai Elantra reportedly ran a red light and crashed into a Ford F-150 in the intersection. The Ford F-150 subsequently crashed into the median area of Commerce Street, striking a pedestrian and a 2021 Toyota Corolla.
The pedestrian, the driver of the Ford, and the driver of the Hyundai were all taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The pedestrian, 63-year-old Ellie Robinson, unfortunately succumbed to their injuries on April 3rd.
Police have charged the driver of the Hyundai Elantra with reckless driving.
