A lady was attacked by a wild goose while a patron at a shopping center on Rockville Pike, in Rockville, Maryland. She claimed the shopping center management should have kept the nesting geese away and should have warned patrons of the aggressive tendencies of the geese. Apparently, the owners of one of the stores had actually investigated taking steps to remove the nesting Canadian pair of geese, but Federal statutes prohibited removal of nesting geese once their eggs had been laid, which was the case here. The lady’s lawsuit against the shopping center and the store owners failed.
