ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD – A hit-and-run crash claimed a 21-year-old woman’s life near Nursery Road in Patapsco Sunday.
It is unclear what led to the collision. However, according to NBC Washington, weather conditions may have been contributing factors, as the woman’s white 2018 Volkswagen may have hydroplaned and struck a guardrail.
The woman may have gotten out of her vehicle to seek help when the driver struck her and fled the scene.
Emergency responders found her on the ground beside her vehicle when they arrived. Police identified her as Mariah Narain from Gambrills. She succumbed to her injuries and died.
